Who We HelpThe Vaughan Chapter formed in 1946 and is a charter member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit veterans' service organization (VSO), Vaughan PVA provides advocacy support and programming to veterans of the armed forces who have sustained spinal cord dysfunction in the state of Illinois. MembershipVaughan PVA membership is FREE for eligible veterans.
Any individual who meets the following criteria is eligible to join Paralyzed Veterans of America:
- A citizen of the United States. - A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces whose discharge was other than dishonorable. - An individual who has suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of trauma or disease, which results in paralysis of more than one limb.
