Located in VA facilities in the Chicago area, Paralyzed Veterans of America National Service Officers (NSO) who are highly trained in VA law, benefits, and healthcare, help to ensure that veterans receive every benefit to which they are entitled. Just some of the benefits in which we assist veterans and family members include:
Service officers directly monitor health care through constant visits to VA and private medical facilities across the country. Our service officers also visit state veterans homes, private nursing homes, and provide support and training assistance to local county veteran service officers.
Contact your Vaughan National Service Officer (NSO) to receive assistance with your veteran's benefits.

“We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.” - Winston Churchill
I have worked as a Senior Benefits Advocate for 20+ years at Hines SCI. I enjoy advocating for veterans and their families. I served proudly as a combat veteran in the United States Army from 1990 until 1997. I served with the 10th Mountain Infantry Division (Ft. Drum, N.Y.) and the 25th Infantry Division (Schofield Barracks, HI). I suffer from C6 tetraplegia from an MVA. I was assisted by PVA NSO and I continue to pay it forward with Veterans served today.
I continue to stay active with family and friends with activities that include traveling, fishing, and any activities that fosters camaraderie with other veterans.
National Service Officer
Hello, Paralyzed Veterans of America Vaughan Chapter! I started with Paralyzed Veterans of America in September of 2022 as a National Service Officer located in the Los Angeles, California Regional Office. I transferred from California to the Chicago, Illinois Regional Office to continue to serve those who have served.
I’m a proud Navy veteran- I served from 2010 through 2014. My first duty station was in Gulfport, MS with NMCB 74, then received orders to be stationed with MCAS Beaufort, SC with Headquarter and Headquarter Squadron.
I am a mother to three energetic kids, and we have a family dog, George. I love anything to do with the outdoors, whether grilling for friends and family, fishing, hiking, or working in the yard, I will find any excuse in good weather to be outside!
