The Vaughan Chapter PVA hosts bowling practices Thursdays at 5:00 PM starting March 30th, 2023, at the Romeoville Bowlero.
After attending four sessions, you will have an AWBA average that makes you eligible to compete for prizes at the Midwestern Wheelchair Bowling Tournament May 5th -7th, 2023.
The Vaughan Bowling Tournament hosted by the Vaughan Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America features the best wheelchair bowlers in the United States. Bowlers are competing in singles and doubles from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon.
The Vaughan chapter of PVA welcomes the community to participate in an Up/Down candlelight bowling event on Friday, May 5th, 2023. Check-in is at 6 PM, and bowling starts at 7 PM. Support wheelchair bowlers and Veterans with disabilities, join the fun and competition, and bowl in the Up/Down fundraising event.
Scratch Division Results: Congratulations to Scratch Division roll-off finalists: Dave Nelson (1st), Mark Shepard (2nd), George Holscher (3rd), Albert Martin (4th), and Shawn Beam (5th).
A Division Results: Ramp bowler Charles Scott took top honors in the A Division. Michael Marcheski took second, followed by Vaughan Chapter Associate member Kenneth Hill, William Leavitt, and Henry Walters.
B Division Results: Three first-time tournament participants from the Vaughan Chapter placed in the B Division roll-off. Vaughan Chapter Member Dylan Pickett took first-place in his first tournament. New Vaughan Bowler Cheryl Gerdes placed second, and Rob Duckworth placed third.
Thirty-five bowlers, including 23 veterans participated in the 3rd Annual Midwestern Bowling Tournament held in April 2022.
