On January 21st, the Vaughn Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America was proud to attend the Wauwatosa Bonspiel at the Wauwatosa curling club. There was a great turnout with twenty-three Veterans, sixteen from Wisconsin and seven from Illinois. It was a round-robin style tournament with teams of two throwing six stones, two stones at a time. All attendees ate Mission BBQ after the conclusion of their matches. The Wauwatosa bonspiel engaged PVA members in exciting tournament-style curling in a friendly low, stakes environment. Members were very supportive of one another and helped each other improve so they could curl their personal best. Overall, it was a wonderful bonding experience for all the PVA members involved. The Vaughan chapter hopes to continue doing many cross-chapter events in the future. Find the pictures from this event on the official VPVA Flickr page.
